Young Arunachal shuttlers win bronze at National Ranking Tournament

ITANAGAR, June 28: The Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA) has congratulated young shuttlers Kyon Tamin and Debia Tagu for securing a bronze medal in the Under-13 category at the prestigious Yonex Sunrise All India Badminton Ranking Tournament held in Goa.

According to an official statement, the duo’s remarkable performance at the national-level competition has been lauded as a significant achievement for the state’s sporting fraternity.

Expressing pride in their success, ASBA Secretary-General Bamang Tago said the medal win was a testament to the players’ hard work and the effective coaching system they have been part of.

Tago, who is also a member of the Tournament Committee in the Badminton Association of India, highlighted that the pair’s strong showing amid stiff competition was one of the key highlights of the tournament, particularly for Arunachal Pradesh.

The Yonex Sunrise All India Badminton Ranking Tournament is considered one of the most competitive events in the national badminton circuit, attracting top young talents from across the country.

Tamin and Tagu’s performance not only brought laurels to the state but also demonstrated the rising standard of badminton among youth players in Arunachal Pradesh.

The official statement further reiterated ASBA’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent and providing promising athletes with the necessary training, infrastructure, and exposure to help them compete at higher levels.

The association assured that it would continue working towards creating more such opportunities to enable its players to perform on both national and international platforms.
