13 Day Theatre Workshop Cum Street Play

Guwahati, May 6: Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Kolkata, Ministry of Culture, Government of India in collaboration with Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Government of Assam & CHHAYA-The Shadow, Nalbari, Assam is organising a 10 day theatre workshop from May 5-14, and a 3 day series of street play from May 15-17, 2022 at Kamrup rural & Guwahati metro district. In this connection an inaugural ceremony was held at Guwahati Artists Guild, Chandmari on 5th May, 2022 at 5:00 pm.

Gouri Basu, director EZCC inaugurated the ceremonial lighting of the lamp on 5th May, 2022 at Guwahati Artists Guild Conference Hall at 5:00 PM while eminent theatre director Nayan Prasad, EZCC member from Assam Jnanendra Bor Kotoky, president of Guwahati Artists Guild Aminul Hoque, popular drama artiste, director Himangshu Prasad Das, officer in-charge NEZCC Shilpgram, V. Phesao were also graced and delivered speeches on the occasion as guests of honour. The theatre workshop is underway at Pragati Sangha Auditorium, Guwahati from May 5-14 and the series of street play on the subject of Covid-19, ‘Beti Bachao Beti Parhao & Swacchata’ will be present at Kamrup rural & Guwahati metro district from May 15-17, 2022 as per said by publication officer of Rabindra Bhavan Abha Moni Saikia and workshop co-ordinator Goutam Kumar Das.
