31st BN SSB organises cycle rally

GOSSAIGAON, Aug 11: The 31st BN SSB in collaboration with Birangona NGO under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with the theme ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ organised a speech competition among the school students at Gossaigaon Higher Secondary School on Wednesday.

Altogether 24 girls and 26 boys of 14 different schools participated in the competition. Students were divided into two different groups ‘A’ & ‘B’. Students who delivered the best speech were apprised and awarded. Apart from this a plantation drive was also carried out in which 500 saplings were planted in Gossaigaon.

Beside the above program, a cycle rally was also conducted by Transit Camp Raimona to raise awareness among the people living in border areas to ensure wide publicity to hoist the National Flag on the residential premises with full honour and sense of pride.

In the rally, students from Nabinagar LP School along with the local people participated. During the rally, 200 flags were distributed to the local villagers and students.
