44-Year-Old Woman Graduates From MIT- World Peace University

GUWAHATI, Oct 19: 
Minu Kalita from Assam received the ‘Executive President Medal’ and a gold medal for securing the first rank at the 4th Convocation Ceremony of MIT World Peace University (WPU), Pune. The ceremony was attended by Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, minister of state for Education and External Affairs, Government of India.
Kalita decided to pursue her lifelong passion of becoming an educator by completing her graduation at the age of 44.

Kalita said that it is never too late to start afresh in life. “No achievement is too difficult if you have the right passion for it. Never let age be a hurdle between you and your dreams. Let my achievement be the driving force for every woman who has ever dreamt of living life on her terms,” said Minu Kalita.

Currently, she is a teacher at PICT Model School, Pune.
