DIPHU, March 3: The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination for the academic year 2022-2023, conducted by Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) got underway on Friday.

In Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong altogether 15,205 candidates are appearing for the examination in 32 examination centres. In Karbi Anglong there are 10,307 candidates and in West Karbi Anglong there are 4,898 candidates.

In Diphu Government Boys Higher Secondary School, students were seen searching for their roll numbers and rooms allotted to them on the notice board.

Principal of Diphu Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Hilary Terang said there are 282 candidates in Govt Boys HS School Examination Centre, out of which 136 are boys and 146 are girls.

“For the smooth conduct of the examination, we frisked the candidates to check unfair means. As per the instruction from SEBA, CCTV cameras have been installed inside the examination halls to find out unfair practices,” principal of a school here said.
