GUWAHATI, Aug 13: The Assam State Election Commission on Wednesday released the Final Photo Electoral Rolls for all 40 constituencies of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), marking a major milestone ahead of the upcoming council elections.
This year’s rolls reflect a substantial expansion, incorporating 81 additional villages into the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) following the delimitation notification issued by the Assam government on June 25, 2025.

As per the updated figures, the BTR now has 26,58,477 registered voters — 13,23,673 male, 13,34,787 female, and 17 classified as “others.”
A total of 3,279 polling stations will serve the electorate, although the number could change when the final list is published on August 18 after a rationalisation process.
The Final Electoral Rolls (without photographs) are available for public inspection at designated locations including Circle Officer and Block Development Officer offices, municipal bodies, town committees, sub-registry offices, police stations, tea garden offices, and Gaon Panchayat or Village Council Development Committee offices within each constituency.
Voters can also check their details online via the OERMS portal and relevant district administration websites.
“Electors may verify their details using their EPIC number issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI) or by downloading the electoral roll for their respective polling stations from the citizen corner on the website,” the Commission said in its statement.
In an effort to boost participation, the Commission announced that individuals whose names appear in the ECI’s supplementary roll and who hold valid EPIC cards will be allowed to submit claims for inclusion in the BTC electoral roll until the last date for filing nominations.
This applies to those eligible as per the ECI’s current summary revision.
Officials said the updated roll would be an essential reference for voters and political parties as campaigning gathers momentum, adding that expanded coverage and digital access are expected to improve transparency, representation, and voter engagement across the BTR.
