KOKRAJHAR, Jan 6: Along with rest of the state, the final photo electoral rolls for five LACs in Kokrajhar and two LACs in Baksa districts of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) have been published on Monday amidst the presence of representatives from various political parties in the district headquarters respectively.
In Kokrajhar, the Kokrajhar District Commissioner’s Office has officially announced the publication of the Final Photo Electoral Roll for five Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs)-No 1 Gossaigaon LAC, No 2 Dotma (ST) LAC, No 3 Kokrajhar (ST) LAC, No 4 Baokungri LAC and No 5 Parbatjhora LAC under the district.
Speaking the reporters at a press conference held at the conference hall of DC office, district commissioner, Masanda Magdalin Pertin has stated that the final photo electoral roll was published officially on Monday.
She said that necessary initiative and measures have been taken while publishing the electoral roll.
She has urged the voters to ensure their details accurately recorded in the final electoral roll. She emphasised the importance of this verification for smooth participation in the democratic process.
Eligible voters are encouraged to check their information on the official websites eoassam.nic.in and voters.eci.gov.in.
Additionally, voters can reach out to the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at their respective polling stations or contact the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) for each Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC) for any clarifications.
The DC emphasized the importance of confirming the accuracy of voter details to ensure smooth participation in upcoming elections.
In Baksa, the final voter list for the 41 No Manash Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC) and 42 No Baksa (ST) LAC in Baksa district was officially released on Monday by the District Election Officer.
According to the published data, 41 No Manas LAC has a total of 2,06,353 voters, which includes 1,03,735 male voters and 1,02,618 female voters.
42 No. Baksa (ST) LAC has a total of 1,99,053 voters, comprising 98,405 male voters, 1,00,646 female voters, and 2 third-gender voters.
Baksa district now has 4,05,406 voters for two LACs, consisting of 2,02,140 male voters, 2,03,264 female voters, and 2 third-gender voters.
Additionally, the district has a total of 486 polling stations, with 245 polling stations in the Manash LAC and 241 polling stations in the Baksa (ST) LAC.
The District Election Officer has urged voters to verify their details and actively participate in the democratic process in the upcoming elections.
Our Biswanath correspondent adds: The corrected and final voters list with photographs of the voter for three LACs under Biswanath district 70 No Biswnath, 71 No Behali (SC) and 72 No Gohpur have been published on Monday, Munindra Nath Nagatey, district commissioner cum district election officer, Biswanath stated.
According to the final voters list there are 188908 voters in total. Out of it, 93595 are male voters and 95313 are female voters. A total of 1240 voters have been included. Similarly, there are 157196 total voters in Behali (SC) LAC. Out of it, 78108 are male voters and 79061 are female voters. A total of 1212 are newly added voters in Behali LAC. On the other hand, there are 172810 total voters in Gohpur LAC. Out of it, 86830 are male voters and 85980 are female voters. A total of 869 voters have been newly added in the final voters list.
It is pertinent to mention here that there are a total of 229 voting centers in Biswanath LAC while 182 voting centers in Behali and 205 in Gohpur LACs respectively. It is further worth mentioning that the draft voters list was published on October 29, 2024.
Our Jorhat correspondent adds: As per the directive of the Election Commission of India (ECI), along with other districts of the State, the final electoral rolls of Jorhat election district was published on Monday.
Addressing newspersons at the conference hall of the District Commissioner’s office complex, the Jorhat District Commissioner Jay Shivani, who is also the district election officer, stated that total number of voters in 99-Teok Assembly constituency is 1,94,443 , out of which 95,365 were male and 99,078 were female, while there has been no third gender voters found. The number of polling stations in Teok constituency is 242.
The total number of voters in the 100-Jorhat assembly seat is 1,48,549, out of which 71,514 were male and 77,035 were female, while in the third gender category it was nil. The number of polling stations in the constituency is 176.
In the 101-Mariani Assembly constituency the total number of voters is 1,66,338, out of which 81,467 were male and 84,871 female and there was no third gender voters. The number of polling stations in the constituency is 196.
The total number of voters in the 102-Titabar Assembly constituency is 2,00,510, out of which 97,204 were male and 1,03306 female. In Titabar too there was no third gender voters. The number of polling stations in the constituency is 231.
The total number of voters in all the four Assembly constituencies of the district is 7,09,840, out of which 3,45,550 were male and 3,64,290 female.
Stating that the final electoral roll was available in the website:jorhat.assam.gov.in, Shivani said that people could also see it at the offices of the District Election Officer, Electoral Registration Officer and from respective Booth Level Officers (BLOs)
