DIPHU, Dec 19: The 9th conference of CPI(ML) Liberation Hills Party Committee was held at Diphu Club here on Saturday and Sunday, where the existing secretary, CPI(ML) HPC, Robi Kumar Phangcho retained the post of secretary for the next term.
On Saturday, a delegate session was held, where general secretary, Karbi Nimso Chingthur Asong (KNCA) comrade, Protima Engheepi inaugurated the delegation session. National, state and Karbi Anglong issues on politics, education, society and economics were discussed. The participation in the 11th CPI (ML) Congress to be held from February 15 to 20, 2023 including border issue and autonomous state were also discussed during the delegate session. Comrade Partha Karmakar was the central observer.
Election for the post of secretary, CPI (ML) PHC was held, where the existing secretary Robi Kumar Phangcho retained the post.
On Sunday, Phangco hoisted the party flag and took party pledge observing the 24th death anniversary of ex-general secretary, CPI (ML) comrade Vinod Mishra.
A peace procession was taken out in which MLA, Bihar, Ajit Khashwala; central observer, Partha Karmakar; secretary, CPI (ML) HPC, Phangcho and KNCA general secretary Engheepi participated. The CPI(ML)HPC leaders submitted a memorandum addressed to President of India, Droupadi Murmu through DC, Karbi Anglong, Madhusmita Bhagawati, ACS.
