AAAPMC Submits Memo

BOKAJAN: All Assam Adivasi Peace Movement Committee (AAAPMC) demands development in their dominated areas in Karbi Anglong.

In a press conference held at TNC Hotel, Bokajan, the president of AAAPMC Samual Hereng said the Adivasis have been living in Karbi Anglong for a very long time but there is no development in their area. “The Adivasis are in Bokajan, Deopani, Nilip and Hawraghat in the district but they are only to vote during the elections. They do not have roads, potable water and no help from the government,” he added.

AAAPMC said the organisation has submitted a memorandum to the chief executive member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Tuliram Ronghang but of no avail as action has not been taken till now. AAAPMC demands a ticket for the Adivasi community from the BJP so that he or she can work for the community.
