MARGHERITA, April 6: All Assam Gorkha Student Union (AAGSU) Madhavpur Bordumsa Regional Committee on Thursday staged a 2 hour- long sit-in at Puroni Pukhuri Panchayat Office Bordumsa under 124 no Margherita Constituency of Tinsukia in protest against dilapidated condition of road and drains which were not constructed by present Margherita MLA Bhaskar Sharma.
More than 100 members of AAGSU Madhavpur Bordumsa Regional Committee and local residents of Puroni Pukhuri were present at 2 hour- long sit-in and shouted various slogans like “BJP led government of Assam murdabad”, “Margherita MLA Bhaskar Sharma murdabad”, “Puroni Pukhuri Panchayat president murdabad” etc.

Many times we have requested Puroni Pukhuri Panchayat president to construct the dilapidated condition road and drains of Bordumsa but every time she gave excuses that all paperwork has been send to higher authorities which we all demand BJP Buridehing Mandal president Bhadeswar Moran to look into the matter seriously otherwise in the coming days AAGSU shall gherao the residence of Margherita MLA Bhaskar and Puroni Pukhuri Panchayat Office said Hira Pradhan.
Puroni Pukhuri Panchayat falls under Buridehing Mouza Kakopathar Block of 124 no Margherita Constituency under Tinsukia.
