AASU, AJYCP Stir Against Question Paper Leak

DIPHU, March 14: The All Assam Students Union (AASU), Diphu Regional Committee (DRC) protested against the leak of the general science question paper of the ongoing HSLC examination conducted by SEBA.

As part of its protest here on Tuesday, AASU burnt effigies of education minister Ranoj Pegu and SEBA chairman Ramesh Chandra Jain in front of the Post Office during the busy hour on Diphu streets. The AASU members shouted slogans against the minister and chairman of SEBA.

The general science subject examination which was supposed to be held on March 13 was rescheduled to March 30 following the question paper leak.

President, AASU, DRC, Deep Jyoti Mali said the government of Assam is playing with the lives of students.

“The education minister Pegu has become incapable of controlling the Education department,” he said.

Mali also said that chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma should interfere in the matter.

The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), Karbi Anglong District Committee also held a protest against the question paper leak.

The AJYCP protest held in Bokajan was attended by AJYCP central executive member, Jitu Phukon in which the effigies of education minister Ranoj Pegu and chairman of SEBA, Ramesh Chandra Jain were burnt.
