Aboro Suraksha Samiti observes Central Foundation Day in Gossaigaon

GOSSAIGAON, Nov 11: Gossaigaon District Committee, under the banner of Aboro Suraksha Samiti, observed Central Foundation Day at Habrubil Community Hall, Gossaigaon with a day-long programme on Friday.
Keeping at par with the programme, Lalit Hembrom, central president, Aboro Suraksha Samiti hoisted the party flag followed by lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to the martyrs of the party.
Later, an open session was also held where Brojen Mahanta, chief advisor of the Samiti lucidly explained that there has been an atmosphere of peace in the BTR ever since the BJP-led coalition government came to power in Assam.
He again said that this government has given Rs 5 lakh each to 19 families who were martyred in the movement of the Aboro Suraksha Samiti. The government is in the process of giving Rs 5 lakh to 12 families in the second list posthumously.
He added that with the help of the UPPL government in BTR, the state government has heeded the demands of the Aboro Suraksha Samiti as a sign of development in BTR.
While attending the programme, Madhav Rajbanshi, central general secretary, Aboro Suraksha Samiti, said that the party which would pay heed to the demands of the Aboro Suraksha Samiti will play a significant role in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
