ADG of NCC visits annual training camp organised at Misa Military Station

NAGAON, Jan 6: The 8 Assam battalion, NCC Tezpur Group organised two combined annual training camps for 16 days since December 22 last year at Misa Military Station. Over 770 NCC cadets from various educational institutions from across the State, participated in the combined training programme.

During the training programme, various activities like regular drill, firing, obstacle courses, games, weapons training, dog show, cultural events etc were carried out.

Major General Gagandeep, ADG, NCC, Directorate visited the training camp on the closing day. He was received by Tezpur Group commander, NCC Brigadier SS Gilt and Colonel Amar Singh, SM, commanding officer 8 Assam battalion, NCC. During his visit, ADG Gagandeep inspected a smart guard of honour performed by NCC cadets following which he interacted with the participants.

While addressing the occasion, ADG Gagandeep exhorted the NCC cadets to exemplify the motto of NCC. He urged to all cadets to imbibe the leadership qualities, spirit of nationalism and selfless service and laid stress on the importance of self discipline and honesty, a release added.
