Morigaon, June 3: The state minister for Agriculture Atul Bora on Friday visited Morigaon.
He took part in a review meeting with commissioner secretary, director of Agriculture, deputy commissioner Prakash Ranjan Gharphalia, ADCs and heads of Agriculture department at DC’s conference hall.

The minister discussed the progress of various flagship schemes like PM-Kisan, PM Fasal Bima Yojana in the review meeting.
Addressing media persons, Bora said that the Central and the state Governments were giving more stress on developing agri and its allied sectors.
He added, “Morigaon district is an agri-based district, so we are determined to make the district more agri-based as well.”
The minister expressed grief over the huge loss of Bodo-paddy production in the current flood. He assured that the department would surely take steps for loss of huge Bodo-paddy production.
