The Brahmaputra skyline witnessed a series of aerial manoeuvres by fighter jets and helicopters from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. Over 75 aircraft, including Rafale, MIG, and Sukhoi, participated in the display, showcasing the operational capabilities of the IAF. Adding a cultural touch to the event, the show featured a tribute to Assam’s beloved singer Zubeen Garg, with his song “Mayabini Ratir Bukut” playing during the performance.

Students, teachers, and residents of old-age homes were among those who watched the show from Lachit Ghat, Sati Radhika Shaanti Udyan in Uzan Bazar, and nearby areas. Arrangements were also made at Ashwaklanta Mandir for visitors to view the air show safely and comfortably.

The city police imposed restrictions across key routes. Heavy and commercial vehicles were not allowed on HB Road, AT Road, DG Road, MG Road, B Baruah Road, and GNB Road between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. City buses from Khanapara towards Bharalumukh were diverted, and entry of heavy vehicles from Jalukbari was restricted during the event.

As the jets roared and the riverfront echoed with cheers, Guwahati joined the rest of the country in saluting the Indian Air Force, celebrating its legacy of courage, commitment, and excellence.
