Anamika Borah triumphs as Miss Assam 2023

GUWAHATI, Oct 25: Anamika Borah, a 21-year-old student in her fifth semester of Zoology at DCB Girls College, Jorhat, was crowned Miss Assam 2023 in a dazzling event that unfolded on October 20 at Ambiance Banquet in Guwahati. The pageant was hosted by the All Assam Youth Empowering Association.

Rhea Borah, a 24-year-old student pursuing a Master’s in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, earned the title of first runner-up, while Bhiolina Boro, a 21-year-old student in her fifth semester of B.Com at Gauhati Commerce College, claimed the second runner-up position, along with the Miss Talent subtitle.

The judging panel included the presence of Brazilian Supermodel Cristiane Rodrigues, reigning Miss Northeast 2022 and Femina Miss India Meghalaya 2023, Irene Dkhar, the founder and creative director of Wing Model Management Delhi, Nilaiwung, and renowned actor and theater personality of Assam, Kopil Bora.

The event was gracefully hosted by Assamese actor Udayan Duarah. Nagaland’s own Supermodel and Mister International India 2012, Opangtongdang Jamir, served as the show curator, creative director, choreographer, and mentor.

Shyamaga Pratim Kashyap, the Director and Founder of Miss Assam Organisation, alongside Co-Director Akumnaro Imsong (Former Miss Nagaland, Miss Mokokchung, and Mega Miss Northeast), announced that Miss Assam 2023 and the first runner-up would represent the state of Assam at the upcoming Miss Northeast 2023, scheduled to take place in Sikkim on November 05, 2023.
