Asam Sahitya Sabha condoles death of Dr. Nabin Chandra Sarma

Tezpur, Oct 16: The Asam Sahitya Sabha  expressed its deep condolences over the passing away of Dr. Nabin Chandra Sarma, a prominent researcher and scholar of folk culture, retired professor of Gauhati University, Asam Sahitya Sabha ‘Sadasya Mahiyan’ and the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award of Asam Prakashan Parishad.

Asam Sahitya Sabha president Dr. Kuladhar Saikia and general secretary Jadab Chandra Sarma mentioned in a condolence message that   death of the prominent writer is a great loss not only to the academic field but also to the entire society. As a mark of respect to the great scholar and litterateur of the State Asam Sahitya Sabha flag will be flown half mast in the central office of the Asam Sahitya Sabha at Jorhat and all the offices of Asam Sahitya Sabha on Monday.
