Assam: 2 minors dead due to lightning strike in Cachar, 2 others injured

Cachar, May 2: Two minor boys lost their lives, and two others were severely injured due to a lightning strike in Cachar district, Assam, as per recent reports.

Information suggests that a severe hailstorm struck the Ganganagar locality when the boys were on the road, prompting them to seek shelter in a waiting shed.

Tragically, a lightning strike hit them, resulting in the immediate death of two boys and injuring the other two. The injured minors were rushed to a nearby hospital by locals and are reported to be in a critical state.

The police, after being notified about the incident, arrived at the scene and retrieved the bodies of the deceased boys. The bodies were then transported to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) for autopsy procedures.
