Assam: Induction Training Of Newly Appointed Officers Concludes

GUWAHATI, April 11: A residential two-week induction training programme for the newly appointed officers of Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprises Department which was held at Assam Administrative Staff College, successfully concluded on Monday.

The 26 officers included deputy directors, functional managers, assistant directors and deputy general managers and deputy manager of Assam Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (AIIDC).

During his address in the valedictory session, secretary Dr Lakshmanan S hoped that the new officers will be the ambassadors of Assam’s industrial goals and aspirations. He also called upon them to imbibe a spirit which can nurture the dreams of budding entrepreneurs.

“Adopt an approach which is professional and friendly for the entrepreneurs. Industry is the one of the most potential sectors which is ever-expanding, all-pervasive and can improve the quality of life,” said Dr Lakshmanan S.

He further called upon the officers to expand their connections and work in tune with other departmental to bring about a positive and sea-change in the lives of the people of the state.

Commissioner of Industries and Commerce, Oinam Sarankumar Singh, asked the officers to promote and avail the schemes like One District One Product (ODOP), Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro food Processing Enterprises (PMFME). The commissioner laid special emphasis to lessen physical interface through optimum utilisation of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) and asked the officers to work in a diligent and dedicated manner.

The officers shared their feedback and expressed their gratitude for conducting a useful and well-structured training programme. They also assured of delivering their best services for the overall growth and development of the state.
