Assam man brutally attacked inside moving train in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, Feb 19: A brutal attack on a man from Assam has left him severely injured, reports from Monday revealed.

The man, identified as Dipanta Phukan from Golaghat district, was reportedly fed addictive substances and subsequently robbed while unconscious in a moving train. The attackers then discarded Phukan in Sambalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

Locals who found Phukan in a terrible state admitted him to a hospital and alerted the police. Phukan had left home for Mumbai in search of work on February 14. Current updates suggest that he is being transported back to Guwahati by train.
