Assam Mourns the Loss of Veteran Singer Syed Sadulla

Guwahati , Oct 30:Veteran Assamese singer, lyricist, composer and former All India Radio announcer Syed Sadulla passed away at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Thursday morning. He was 77.

Reports said Sadulla had been battling Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia and was on ventilator support after suffering respiratory complications. Despite intensive care, he breathed his last around 10:30 AM.

Born on February 1, 1948, in Dibrugarh, Sadulla began his career at All India Radio before becoming a beloved voice in Assamese music.

His passing has left the Assamese music fraternity in grief, marking the end of an era for listeners who grew up with his timeless melodies.
