Assam Rifles marks Raksha Bandhan and World Humanitarian Day

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Aug 10: Assam Rifles on Saturday organised a Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) programme at Lokra Garrison to mark World Humanitarian Day along with Raksha Bandhan celebrations.

The event brought together 35 women from Lokra village and 40 Assam Rifles personnel.

It aimed to promote community engagement, health awareness, and strengthen ties between the force and local residents.

Cultural and interactive sessions highlighted humanitarian values and the spirit of brotherhood symbolised by Raksha Bandhan.

The programme also provided a platform for women from the village to share their views, learn about healthcare practices, and build connections with Assam Rifles personnel.
