Assam Royal Global University to hold 2nd convocation ceremony on Nov 11

GUWAHATI, Nov 7: Assam Royal Global University will hold its second convocation ceremony on November 11, 2022 at 3:45 pm.
The ceremony will be presided over by the visitor of the university, Prof Jagdish Mukhi, Governor of Assam, and will be graced by Union minister, Nitin Gadkari as the chief guest. Himanta Biswa Sarma, chief minister of Assam, will be the guest of honour and will be accompanied by the Education minister of Assam, Dr Ranoj Pegu, as the distinguished guest.
A total of 951 students will be graduating with degrees and diplomas, comprising of 30 gold medalists, 36 silver medalists along with 2 recipients of chancellor’s gold medals, 5 recipients of salvers and medals consisting of one student each for excellence in literary activities, excellence in cultural activities, excellence in community service, excellence in mentoring, and excellence in sports.
The varsity will be conferring Honoris Causa, to three distinguished recipients- Prof (Dr) Ajay Kumar Sood, principal scientific advisor to the government of India, The Year of Science Chair Professor, Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Science; Patricia Mukhim, editor, The Shillong Times, and Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal, chancellor, Lovely Professional University, MP, Rajya Sabha.
