DIPHU, Jan 2: The SP, Karbi Anglong, Sanjib Kumar Saikia has announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information about the missing school teacher of Rong Ar-e ME school, Moneswar Kalita, who has been missing since August 30. The identity of the informer will not be revealed, said the SP.
In a press conference held here at the SP office conference hall, the SP said, “Moneswar Kalita, a school teacher has gone missing on August 30 under Samelangso Police Station.
“Police have made all efforts to trace the teacher. Two persons Kania Tokbi, a teacher, where Kalita also teaches and another Lindok Rongpi of Pinkhat Rongpi village Samelangso have been arrested by police. “Despite making all efforts by the law-and-order authority to trace the teacher, it was in vain. The law-and-order authority through the media would like to announce that whoever can give information about Moneswar Kalita a reward of Rs. 1 lakh will be given. His identity will not be revealed.”
The police have arrested two persons in this connection: Kania Tokbi, a Karbi Language Teacher at the school and Lindok Rongpi of Pinkhat Rongpi village.
