DIPHU, May 12: The Karbi Students Association, Revolutionary Youth Association and AISA condemn the attack on Elbert Timung by miscreants on Thursday. If no permanent solution is reached by the government the situation will remain tense, stated a press release.

As per Karbi Anglong founded by late Semson Sing Ingti the border is till Saisema. Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) used to collect tax from Khanduli Market but now it is under Meghalaya’s occupation.    

The release said the ‘Give and Take’ policy has added fuel to the fire. The organisations further requested the KAAC to bring forward a permanent solution.
