ATTSA Observes International Labour Day

DEMOW, May 1: Under the patronage of All Tea Tribes Students Association (ATTSA) Sivasagar District in Association with ATTSA, Demow, Nazira and Amguri Branches the International Labour Day was observed in Demow Athabari Chah Labour Kalyan Kendra on Sunday. On the occasion of International Labour Day, the best labour from every tea estate of the area was selected and were felicitated with a fulam gamosa and a citation by the organisers. A representatives meeting of the ATTWA was also organised where the ATTWA, Sivasagar district was formed. Biswanath Nag, secretary of ATTSA, Demow branch, gave the welcome address in the programme. Shiva Prasad Bhadra, chairperson of Assam Chah Nigam; Diganta Sahu Tasa, vice-president ATTSA, Central Committee were present in the programme as chief guests. Babul Sahu, ATTSA Central Committee leader and Amit Garaik were present in the programme as observers. In the programme, the ATTSA, Demow branch leaders along with representatives of ATTSA, Nazira and Amguri branch and former ATTSA leaders were also present.
