BOKAJAN, Dec 28: Aturkimi Baptist Church from Wai Terang village in Balipathar conducted a daylong programme to celebrate the church’s silver jubilee on Saturday.
The executive secretary of Nihang Karbi Baptist Association (NKBA) Rev Tenson Bey inaugurated the celebration, with the theme, “To proclaim the year of the Lord’s fervor.” Luke 4:19.

Time was taken for felicitation to former church leaders by presenting them gifts and mementos for their contribution to the Church, which was taken up by Pastor Babu Teron. Introduction and felicitation of guests, and necessary announcement were taken up by Onh Kro.
Rev Tenson Bey gave an exhortation speech to thank God for the blessings bestowed upon the Church and to hold on to God’s merciful steadfastly.
Other dignitaries like Karbi Anglong Baptist Convention, general secretary Kamson Rongphar; Rev Abraham Taro, Rev James Rongpi, Rev Unique Terang, William Singnar and Silarson Rongpi of NKBA attended the jubilee service in giving thanks to God for the abundant blessings showered upon Aturkimi BC Saphapani Area Baptist Fellowship Women’s Department, Sunday School children and the reception committee presented special songs.
