According to an official statement, the review meeting was held at the conference hall of the District Commissioner’s office in Tamulpur, where the Chief Minister assessed the progress of several flagship initiatives launched by the Assam government.

Sarma reviewed the status of schemes such as Orunodoi 3.0, Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhiyan (CMAAA), Mukhya Mantrir Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan, Eti Koli Duti Paat, and ration card distribution for eligible beneficiaries.

Referring to the Orunodoi scheme, Sarma stated that the number of beneficiaries in Tamulpur, which stood at 20,833 under the first two phases, would now be increased to 59,000 in the third phase.

He noted that similar expansions would be made under other welfare schemes to bring meaningful change to at least 1.5 lakh families in the district.

He asked the District Commissioner, Pankaj Chakraborty, to coordinate with the District Level Monitoring Committee and finalise the beneficiary lists to enable scheme rollouts by August.

On the Mukhya Mantrir Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan, the chief minister emphasised the importance of fostering women’s entrepreneurship through phased financial assistance.

The Eti Koli Duti Paat scheme, launched to coincide with 200 years of the Assam Tea industry, will benefit Class III and IV workers of tea gardens through one-time financial assistance.

During the review, Sarma urged the district administration to ensure seamless and inclusive delivery of benefits, improve awareness about available schemes, and actively involve local communities to maximise the impact of the programmes.

Guardian Minister of Tamulpur Jayanta Mallabaruah, BTC Chief Executive Member Promod Boro, MP Dilip Saikia, MLA Jolen Basumatary, along with several Executive Members and MCLAs of the BTC, attended the meeting.

The Chief Minister also interacted with beneficiaries and local officials to gather on-ground feedback. As part of his day-long visit, Sarma met with representatives of a wide array of social and student organisations, including the Sadou Asom Rabha Chatra Sanstha, Sadou Asom Gorkha Chatra Sanstha, Sadou Asom Koch Rajbongshi Chatra Sanstha, Sadou Asom Tea Tribes Chatra Sanstha, Sadou Asom Bengali Chatra Sanstha, Asom Sahitya Sabha, and many others.
