HOWRAGHAT, March 27: Banga Sena announced that an ‘Independent Bangabhumi’ will be established by carving out six districts of Bangladesh. This statement was made by leaders of Banga Sena on its 42nd Rising Day, which took place on Monday at Uttar Borbil in Karbi Anglong. The event was attended by leaders of the Banga Sena who came from Kolkata, West Bengal.
Banga Sena was founded by Bengali-speaking people who fled Bangladesh due to persecution and are now residing in India. It’s important to note that no part of Karbi Anglong in Assam or any part of India is included in the proposed Bangabhumi.
Leaders of Banga Sena from Kolkata include president Gunadhar Das, organising secretary Animesh Sikdar, spokesperson Bimal Maji, commanders Ranjit Rai and Narayan Das, East Karbi Anglong District Committee secretary Nakul Das, publicity secretary Anup Das, along with people from all over Karbi Anglong who participated in the observation of Banga Sena’s Rising Day.
