Bhutan King visits Kaziranga National Park, enjoys jeep safari

Guwahati, Nov 4: Bhutan king Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk on November 4 visited the world’s famous Kaziranga National Park accompanied by Assam Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu.

The King of Bhutan enjoyed a jeep safari as well as Elephant safari while relishing the weather and scenic beauty of Assam.

Sharing the day’s itinerary as well as the next official program, Ranoj Pegu took to X and wrote, “Honoured to accompany His Majesty the King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck to the world heritage Kaziranga National Park in a jeep safari today. His Majesty was happy sighting several Rhino and many other wild animals. His majesty appreciated our conservation efforts in Kaziranga and commented- “you are doing wonderful work and conservation service for the entire world. I’ll come again with my family.”

It needs mention here that the king appreciated the conservation efforts of Assam Government and said that he would like to come again with his family and visit the region again.
