Biswanath Chariali, Aug 13: A bike rally was organised on Saturday by Biswanath College Students’ Union from Biswanath College to Biswanath Ghat to mark the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, a nationwide campaign initiated by the Central Government. The rally was formally inaugurated by Biswajit Saikia, ADC, Biswanath. The rally was headed by Dr Chinta Mani Sharma, principal of the college and joined by Ramananda Bora, vice principal, Prof Ajit Dutta, Prof Taranath Mahanta besides all office bearers of Biswanath college students union and other teachers and employees. A procession too was brought out by the students of Zoology department on Saturday. Teachers, students, and other employees of college also participated in the rally.
