HAFLONG, Feb 6: With Assembly elections approaching, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its campaign preparations in Dima Hasao, expressing confidence of winning the Haflong (ST) constituency by a decisive margin. Party leaders credit their multi-sectoral development record at the Centre, State and Council levels for strengthening public support.
At a meeting of the Dima Hasao BJP Election Management Committee at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, Haflong, leaders outlined achievements in tourism, roads, healthcare, sports, youth engagement and women empowerment. They emphasised strategic booth-level planning and rural-urban outreach to convert the development narrative into electoral success.

The meeting was chaired by MP Vivek “Bunty” Sahu and attended by Dima Hasao Autonomous Council CEM Debolal Gorlosa, district BJP president Dhriti Thawsen, senior leaders and party karyakartas. Party sources reiterated that focused investments in connectivity, livelihood generation and grassroots governance have strengthened voter confidence, placing BJP in a commanding position ahead of the polls.
