BJP WKADC organises marathon

DONGKAMUKAM, Dec 9: As part of the 400th birth anniversary of Bir Lachit Borphukan, a running race was held at Dongkamukam in West Karbi Anglong.
The race was organised by the BJP, West Karbi Anglong District Committee and the first prize was won by Sudhama Rajbhar, second by Prithviraj Chetri and third by Earnest Sawra in the men’s category.
In the women’s category, Mira Chauhan and Mamta Chouhan came in first and second respectively and the rest of the competitors dropped out on the way. Overall, 30 participants took part in the men’s and women’s categories.
Earlier, president of BJP, WKADC, Radip Ronghang flagged off the running race at the party office at Ghelani.
