DEMOW, April 18: The health and FW department, Sivasagar organised a Block Health Mela under BPHC at Mohkhuti Bazar Greha near Demow as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on Monday in order to create awareness regarding health. On the occasion, an awareness meeting was organised at Mohkhuti Bazar Greha where the doctors and health workers made the people aware regarding various diseases and the precautions for the various diseases. In the programme, Sivasagar DC Megha Nidhi Dahal gave his valuable speech to the students and locals present at the occasion. A total of 538 beneficiaries were registered in the Health Mela for health check-up which started from 10 am and continued till 4:30 pm, said a health worker.
