Blood donation camp held at Jamugurihat

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Feb 4: A blood donation camp organised by Kanyaka Social Trust; a wing of Bharali Poriya Kanyaka Bahumukhi Pam, was inaugurated on Tuesday at Baresohoriya Bhaona Complex.

 The blood donation camp of Jamugurihat was formally inaugurated by Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika. Inaugurating the blood donation camp, MLA Hazarika said that people should donate blood and books generously. Books spread the fragrance of knowledge and wisdom while blood gives life to the needy.

The camp was attended by Dr Rupak Baruah, joint director of health services, Sonitpur, Raj Baruah, commissioner of Naduar co-district, Pabitra Kr Das, president of Dakhin Muradol mandal BJP, Kishor Dahal, president of Uttar Naduar mandal BJP, Pallabita Sarma, chairman of Jamuguri town committee, Dipshikha Handique, chairman of Sootea town committee besides doctors and medical team.

The blood donation camp was organised at three other places such as Sootea, Panchmile and at Chariduwar on the same day. A total of 150 volunteers donated blood in all the four camps.
