Body of youth found at Juria Erabari bazaar

NAGAON, April 29: A body of a youth was found lying in Erabari Bazar under Juria PS with a bag on his back early this morning.

The incident sent shockwaves throughout the region.

According to sources, local residents witnessed the body of the youth early in the morning and immediately informed the local Juria police. The deceased was later identified as Mukunda Sahu, alias Nasir, a resident of Tezpur, later settled at Juria Telia Bebejia village. Sahu had been living in Mumbai for several years due to work commitments and had returned to his home in Juria’s Telia Bebejia village last Sunday.

Sahu’s family reported that he went missing from his home in Juria on Monday, and his body was found at Erabari Bazar under Juria PS the next morning. The cause of death is yet to be ascertained.

However, police have launched an investigation to unravel the mystery surrounding Sahu’s death.

The incident has raised concerns about safety and security in the area, especially given the recent tensions related to election-related violence in some parts of Nagaon district.

The authorities are working to shed light on the incident, and the local community is anxiously awaiting the outcome of the investigation, sources added further.
