Book ‘Arunjyoti’ released on Dr Arun Kr Nath’s superannuation

MORIGAON, April 30: Association’s office on Thursday in conjunction with the superannuation of Joint Director of Health Dr Arun Kr Nath, the congratulatory book ‘Arunjyoti’, an evergreen journey of a colourful life was released here. The book was compiled with various writers’ self-composed stories based on Dr Nath’s life. A felicitation meeting on the occasion of the programme was held, which was presided over by the incumbent Joint Director of Health, Morigaon, Dr Shailendra Bardhan Bora. After the welcome speech delivered by C.O. of JDH Naba Kr Medhi, DFPC Baharul Ulum Chaudhary spoke at length about the objective of the meeting.

The book was inaugurated by Additional District Commissioners of Morigaon, Anusuya Sarma and Nitisha Bora. The meeting was attended by Morigaon District Animal Husbandry Officer Dr Nilutpal Kakati, DPM of NHM Jufin Sultana and DPM of NPCBVI, Morigaon, Pinaki Bhusan Mahanta, along with other dignitaries, who spoke on Dr Nath’s life. Earlier, Dr Arun Kr Nath was bid farewell with a traditional gamusa, a sarai, a japai and a citation. The felicitation programme was moderated by C.O. Naba Kr Medhi.

Besides, another retired medical officer, Dr Tapan Kumar Saikia, was also felicitated with a traditional gamusa, sarai and a citation. Dr Arun Kumar Nath delivered a speech at the function and shared some memorable moments and experiences of his career. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Health Educator of JDH Jyotish Burman. The book ‘Arunjyoti: An Evergreen Journey of a Colourful Life’ was edited by Baharul Ulum Chaudhary and Jyotish Barman.
