The proposed auditorium to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore, will be funded under the BTC government’s infrastructure development scheme. The project is expected to provide a much-needed platform for the academic, cultural and co-curricular activities of the institution.

Addressing the gathering, Narzary stated that there had long been a plan to construct an auditorium in the school to meet its growing needs. However, the proposal gained momentum after the present BTC administration assumed office. He mentioned that under the leadership of Chief Executive Member Hagrama Mohilary, necessary funds were allocated to ensure the construction of a modern and well-equipped auditorium on the school premises.

He expressed hope that the new facility would greatly benefit students and contribute to the overall development of the institution.

The foundation-laying ceremony was attended by members of the school’s managing committee, including Shanti Ram Ray and Ranjit Sarkar. The Principal of the institution, Mousumi Bhattacharjee, along with teachers, students and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
