Byatikram MASDO hosts real estate conclave in Guwahati

Conclave unveils industry insights, innovations, and sustainable solutions

GUWAHATI, Feb 2: Byatikram MASDO, a leading organisation in North East India, hosted its first-ever Real Estate Conclave in association with RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) Assam at Hotel Vivanta, Guwahati, on Thursday. The conclave was convened with an amalgam of key stakeholders, industry experts, urban planners, government representatives, and professionals who deliberated on the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the real estate sector. Through expert presentations, panel discussions, and networking sessions, the conclave contributed to the professional growth of participants while showcasing innovative projects and nurturing a shared vision for the future of real estate.

Distinguished personalities like Dr Ashok Pansari, chairman of Royal Group; Dr Sanjiv Narain, CMD, Prag News; PVSLN Murty, chairman & managing director of NEDFI; GM Hazarika, chairperson-in-charge of Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Assam; Dr Arup Kumar Mishra, chairman of Pollution Control Board; Ruhul Amin, assistant high commissioner of Bangladesh in Guwahati; Mahesh Somani, chairman of the National Real Estate Regulatory Authority; along with other esteemed dignitaries from the Real Estate Industry graced the conclave.

Following the inaugural session, Dr Ashok Pansari, chairman of Royal Group, delivered the principal address on the theme ‘The Journey of a Pathfinder’, shedding light on his visionary outlook for the real estate sector and his impactful contributions as a realtor in the region. This was followed by a spotlight on Project Aanchal of Lions Club of Gauhati, which has spearheaded numerous impactful initiatives in the city and built monuments of social significance in and around the city of Guwahati. Benevolent donors and supporters, including Sushil Jain, chairman, Project Aanchal, Kailash Lohia, renowned industrialist and life member of Lions Club of Gauhati, Kishore Saboo, co-chairman, Project Aanchal, Ajay Poddar, president, Lions Club of Gauhati, Sanjay Khetawat, reputed government contractor, Sanjay Lakhotia, reputed businessman, were honoured for their exemplary service in a session moderated by Lion Anand Aiyar, past president and trustee, Project Aanchal of Lions Club of Gauhati.

The first panel discussion focused on ‘RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) – Challenges & Way Forward’, featuring esteemed panelists like Manab Paul, founder of Sree Balaji; Sumanth Reddy, chairman of ELECT, NAR, India; Mukta Nath Saikia, secretary, RERA; Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, past president and governing body member, NAR, India; and Sachin Agarwal, proprietor of A2Z Flats. The discussion was moderated by Mohesh Somani, managing director of Liyaans Properties and chairman of the National RERA Committee, NAR, India.

The second panel discussion delved into ‘Sustainable Development in Real Estate’, featuring experts like Jitendra Sharma Kakoti, deputy director of Town & Country Planning, Government of Assam; Debaraj Kalita, town planner, GMDA; Abhishek Agarwal, business head, Bigboss Digitech; Rana Mahanta, architect; Karishma Kakoti, interior designer, and founder of KA Design, etc. Ranjana Poddar Bhajanka, founder of Oxyzone Landscape Design Studio, moderated this session. The event also showcased the success stories of the pioneers in the Real Estate industry in Assam, Amar Barooah, and the founder of Rajasthan Lime Udyog.

A unique feature of the event was the celebration of the birthday of the state chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Dr Saumen Bharatiya, president of Byatikram MASDO, expressed his satisfaction with the wholesome response to the call for a conclave, emphasising its significance as the first of its kind in the North East region. He highlighted the mission of the conclave to provide a platform for addressing new trends, technological developments, and market dynamics in real estate, fostering knowledge exchange among industry leaders.

The program was concluded with cultural performances by the students of Nitrya Lok, Sanskriti- an institute of dance and music and Pinki Roy of Shristi Socio-Cultural Organisation. The event was anchored by Debojyoti Dasgupta and Mrigakshi Baruah.
