DIPHU, March 13: The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) has to be cancelled due to question paper leak of General Science (C3). The notification was issued on March 12, 2023.
The Controller of Examination (SEBA), NJ Sarmah, stated, “News is telecast in a section of media today evening that a handwritten model question paper of HSLC examination of General Science (C3) subject, which is to be held on March 13, 2023 (Monday) is available in the hands of some candidates and available in social media.”
He further said, “We have a belief that such news may create confusion in the minds of the candidates and keeping in view of this the examination of General Science (C3) subject which is to be held on 13th March is hereby canceled. The exam for General Science (C3) is re-scheduled on March 30.”
At Diphu Government Boys Higher Secondary School examination centre students have come to write the General Science examination, but they have to return home without writing the examination.
One of the candidates informing the media said, “I have come with full preparation to write the examination. But due to re-scheduling of the date we could not write the exam. We are desperate as we could not write our exam. I am not sure if I would be able to make the same preparation.”
The assistant general secretary of All Assam Students Union (AASU), Shorjun Hanse said, “We want to tell the education minister Ranoj Pegu that the Assam government should not play with the education of students. We want Pegu to resign from the post of education minister, as he is not capable of controlling his department.”
