HOJAI, Nov 22: A delegation from the Reception Committee of the 11th Annual Conference of the Assam Senior Citizens’ Association visited Diphu on Friday and met Chief Executive Member of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Tuliram Rohang. The delegates formally invited CEM Rohang to attend the open session of the upcoming conference as a guest of honour. Rohang accepted the invitation and assured the committee of full cooperation and support for the event.
The 11th Annual Session of the Assam Senior Citizens’ Association will be held in Hojai on January 24, 2026. The Reception Committee—formed with the participation of regional committees from Hojai, Lanka, Lumding, Doboka, Dhalpukhuri, Rajagaon, Srimanta Sankardev Nagar, Nilbagan, 1 No Kaki, 2 No Kaki, 3 No Kaki and Murajhar is actively preparing for the conference.

Appealing for public cooperation, the committee urged the local community to extend support for the smooth organisation of the event. In this connection, a general meeting of the Reception Committee has been scheduled for November 29 at 10:30 AM. The State president and Chief Editor of the Assam Senior Citizens’ Association are expected to attend. General Secretary Anup Kumar Barua has requested all members to be present at the meeting.
