Chatia College Hosts Workshop On ‘Research Project Preparation’

BISWANATH CHARIALI, April 6: Chatia College hosted a one-day workshop on ‘Research Project Preparation’ on April 3. The workshop was organised by the Research Committee and Publication Board which was sponsored by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college.

Dr Punya Lata Gohain, an assistant professor from the department of Assamese at Dr BKB College, Puranigudam, Nagaon graced the occasion as a resource person which was presided over by Dr Swapan Kumar Kalita, the principal-in-charge of Chatia College and Mukut Hazarika, the co-ordinator of IQAC respectively.

The welcome address was given by Dr Surajit Saikia, an assistant professor from the department of Assamese at Chatia College.

The resource person was accorded felicitation by Dr Anushree Adhikary, the chairperson of the Research Committee and Publication Board at Chatia College and Dr Kangkan Bhuyan, an assistant professor from the department of English at Chatia College.

More than 60 students from the BA 4th and 6th semesters participated in the workshop. The workshop was designed to help students understand the basics of research project preparation, including how to choose a research topic, how to develop research questions and how to structure research projects.

During the workshop, Dr Punya Lata Gohain shared her expertise on the topic and engaged students in various activities designed to help them develop their research skills. Students were also given the opportunity to ask questions and interact with Dr Gohain, which provided them with valuable insights and feedback. Among the esteemed guests, Dr Babita Baruah and Jintimoni Neog, assistant professors from the departments of Assamese and Sanskrit respectively, also graced the occasion with their generous presence. The workshop received positive feedback from both the participants and the organisers. Dr Anushree Adhikary forwarded a vote of thanks.
