Following the flag hoisting, a shraddhanjali was offered to former presidents, secretaries, and members of the mandir committee who had passed away. In the afternoon, the program continued with a rendition of a mangalacharan by Amal Sharma, a religious person associated with Jagya Mandir. This was followed by a devotional song performed by a group of women from the Choladhora area and a Borgeet sung by Anmesha Kashyap, a class 7 student of Shemford School.

As an invited guest, Devendra Deva Goswami, a retired principal of Jonaki Chamahayati HS School in Majuli, delivered an insightful talk on Sanatan Dharma and its origins. He discussed the principles and tenets of Sanatan Dharma, quoting Swami Vivekananda’s statement that ‘Religion is the expression of divinity in the heart of humanity’.

Dr Saumitra Pujari, an associate professor of the History department at Jorhat College (Amalgamated) and a member of the mandir, also spoke about the historical background of Jorhat, particularly mentioning Sabaibandha and Tarajan where the Durga Pujas were first organised. He highlighted the initiation of the puja in Choladhora, including the acquisition of land for the temple and the group of people who started the first puja in Choladhora.

The objective of the function was stated by the secretary of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations Committee, Ranjit Kumar Adhyapak. The event concluded with a vote of thanks offered by the temple committee secretary, Manik Pujari. The program was anchored by the temple committee president, Prabin Sharma. In the evening, 25 earthen lamps were lit, and a group from Gorokhiadol performed a Sankirtan, a devotional music performance.
