Bilasipara, Nov 26: The premier private educational institution of Bilasipara, Jnanalaya National School, inaugurated its 20th School Week with a series of colorful events, including various sports and recreational competitions. As per the schedule, at 9 AM the vice-chairperson of the school, Gitali Baruah, hoisted the flag. This was followed by a procession comprising students and teachers. The procession started from the school and moved toward the Hakama Upper Primary Field located in Ward No. 9 of the Bilasipara Municipality, where different sports and fun competitions were officially launched.
According to the program, today’s sports and fun competitions were held for students from the Ankur (pre-primary) class up to Class XII.
Tomorrow, 27 November, from 9 AM onwards various sports and fun events will continue, and from 1 PM a singing competition will be held.
On 28 November, from 9 AM, more sports and fun competitions will take place, followed by another singing session at 1 PM.
On 29 November, from 9 AM, an Assamese poetry recitation competition will be held for students from Ankur to Class XII, while at 1 PM there will be debate, Bihu dance, and other cultural competitions.
On 30 November, from 9 AM, a fancy-dress competition will be held. At 10 AM an English poetry recitation competition will take place, and from 1 PM a quiz competition will be organized. Later, a Goalpariya folk dance competition will be conducted among the students.
On 1 December, from 9 AM, a Hindi poetry recitation competition will be held, followed by an extempore speech competition and Assamese modern dance competition from 11 AM. At 4 PM, a costume display competition will be held.
On 2 December, from 9 AM, Antakshari, Zubeen song competitions, Assamese song competitions, and Goalpariya song competitions will be held. From 2 PM onwards, group dance and Hindi dance competitions will take place.
On 3 December, from 12 noon, a prize distribution ceremony will be held to felicitate the best performers of the school week.
Speaking to the media, the school’s vice-chairperson, Gitali Baruah, said that since its establishment in 2005, Jnanalaya National School has now begun its 20th School Week. She added that various sports and recreational competitions will be held until 2 December. She appealed to parents and guardians to extend their support and cooperation to help their children participate in all the events of the school week.
