DIBRUGARH, February 21: The vibrant cultural fest Crescendo 2026 culminated today at Government Dental College, Dibrugarh, alongside its annual meeting, marking a grand celebration of talent, unity, and academic excellence. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, creating an atmosphere of pride and festivity.


The programme was organized under the leadership of Organizing Chairman Dr. Lalit Chandra Boruah, whose guidance ensured the smooth and successful execution of the fest. Over the course of several days, Crescendo 2026 featured a diverse series of events encompassing cultural performances, literary competitions, and sports activities, reflecting the all-round development and vibrant spirit of the student community.

The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Hirendra Nath Sarma, Vice Chancellor of Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Sports University, Dibrugarh, who lauded the institution for promoting holistic education and encouraging students to excel beyond academics.


The event was further honoured by the presence of distinguished Guests of Honour, Dr. Reema Nath, Vice Principal of Assam Medical College and Hospital, Dibrugarh, and Dr. Jayanta Kumar Bora, Dean, Faculties of Humanities and Law at Dibrugarh University. Both dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the organizers and emphasized the importance of such platforms in nurturing talent and confidence among students.


President Bhaskar Das expressed his gratitude and pride in the collective efforts of the students, highlighting the sense of unity and teamwork that defined the fest. General Secretary Hamidul Islam acknowledged the active participation and cooperation of all students, especially the juniors, whose support played a vital role in the seamless conduct of the events.


A significant highlight of the annual meeting was the academic felicitation ceremony, where university rank holders of Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) for the academic session 2025–2026 were honoured. Their achievements stood as an inspiration for the entire student body.

The occasion also marked the inauguration of the 5th issue of the annual college magazine Pragya, showcasing the literary and creative expressions of students. Notably, the magazine featured a special message for the college from the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, adding further significance to the publication.


The event concluded on a high note, celebrating not just competitions and achievements, but the enduring spirit of togetherness and institutional pride.
