KHERONI, Aug 23: The newly constructed Multi-Utility Sports Complex at Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA) Stadium in Diphu has garnered significant appreciation from senior officials of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
The delegation, including Dr Prem Chand, DIG (CSO) Training Directorate, CRPF; Dr Kenjom Ngomdir, CMO (SG)/Commandant (Med), Training Directorate CRPF; and Inspector Sachin, Chief Coach (Athletics), visited the state-of-the-art facility on Friday following a meeting with Tuliram Ronghang, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), at his official bungalow.
The visit was facilitated on the advice of Gyanendra Pratap Singh, IPS, former DGP, Assam and present Director General of CRPF.
The CRPF officials were highly impressed by the world class infrastructure, which includes six specialised halls for sports such as badminton, basketball, futsal, karate, chess, and yoga, along with a gymnasium.

The complex also features a 100 seat conference hall, a 1,200 seat multipurpose hall, office and dining facilities, a grand open stage with a 4,000 seat capacity including a VVIP gallery, and a 200 bedded accommodation facility supported by hotels and restaurants.
Describing the KASA Stadium as a unique facility in India, the CRPF officials proposed adopting its design as a model for a similar project in New Delhi.
CEM Ronghang, accompanied by Executive Member Madhuram Lekhte, MAC Headsing Rongphar, and others, expressed pride in this recognition, calling it a significant achievement for the people of Karbi Anglong.
