On the concluding day, Bishop of Diphu Diocese Most Rev Paul Mattekat attended the programme as the chief guest in the presence of Fr Abraham Kanattu, parish priest of Sojong and Fr Albert Thyrniang, parish priest of Sojong. A Holy Mass was held with the participation of hundreds of delegates from Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao districts.

In his sermon, the Bishop mainly stressed family love and peace in Christian households. He said if there is no peace between husband, wife and children, it would be difficult to spread the message of peace and love to neighbours.

He urged the Catholic faithful to always pray to God for His love and to pray regularly so that peace prevails in families, which would eventually spread to neighbours and the wider world.

He also encouraged families present at the convention to send Garo children for theological studies so that they may become priests from the community under the Diphu Diocese.
