The visit took place on August 10 during his stay in Guwahati.

Momin, who left behind his medical practice to enter active politics, continues to carry forward his sense of duty as a doctor.

He regularly takes time to meet and interact with patients from his constituency admitted to GMCH, offering them medical guidance, moral support, and assurance of assistance.

During this visit, Momin met with three patients — Dilip Saikia of Balipathar, Suren Teron of Gandhipur, and Lonki Rongpi of Chowkihola — all admitted for various treatments.

He spoke at length with each of them, inquiring about their health conditions, listening to their concerns, and reassuring their families about the availability of necessary help during the recovery process.

“It is my duty to stand by the people of my constituency in times of need. I pray for their speedy recovery and will ensure they receive the care and assistance they require,” Momin said while speaking to the media after his visit.

The gesture was well received by the patients’ families as well as GMCH staff, who lauded the Deputy Speaker’s dedication to personally reaching out to the people he represents.

Many noted that his continued connection with his medical roots has allowed him to serve in ways that go beyond political responsibility, reinforcing his image as a leader who remains accessible and empathetic to the needs of the public.
