GUWAHATI, Feb 8: The Union minister of ports, shipping & waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal participated in the 12-day Krishna ‘Guru Akhand Kirtan’ at Krishna Guru Sevashram here on Saturday, an event dedicated to world peace.
Upon Sonowal’s arrival at the ashram, the minister offered prayers to Paramguru Krishna Guru Ishwar by chanting hymns at the Suvarna Kur. Sonowal then joined Guru Krishna Premananda Prabhu, Bhakti Matri Kuntala Patowary Goswami, and other devotees in the ongoing ‘Akhand Kirtan’.
