District commissioner inaugurates and inspects developmental works in Sivasagar district

DEMOW, Oct 29: Aditya Vickram Yadav, the district commissioner of Sivasagar district, led the inauguration and inspection of several developmental projects across Nitaipukhuri, Panidehing, and Rajabari Gaon Panchayats under Demow Development Block on Saturday.

Initiating the day’s proceedings, Aditya Vickram Yadav inaugurated the CMSC in Nitaipukhuri Gaon Panchayat, constructed under the 15th Finance Commission. Subsequently, he examined various projects implemented under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).

Moving forward, the district commissioner engaged in discussions with the beneficiaries of PMAY-G in Panidehing Gaon Panchayat. He directed departmental officers to take necessary measures to ensure timely completion of house construction. Additionally, he conducted an inspection of different projects under MGNREGA in Panidehing Gaon Panchayat.

Continuing his visit, Aditya Vickram Yadav inspected raised platforms constructed under MGNREGA in Dehing Kal Ghar Gaon under Rajabari Gaon Panchayat, crossing the River Boats in Dehing River.

Throughout his visit, Aditya Vickram Yadav was accompanied by Bihangi Bhagawati Das, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Demow Development Block, along with the Presidents, Secretaries of Nitaipukhuri, Panidehing, and Rajabari Gaon Panchayats. Officials from the Development Block and Panchayats were also present during the inspection.
